Dignity-by-Design

Renovation Program at Los Angeles Mission

LEARN MORE

Project Description

Los Angeles Mission's Dignity by Design Renovation Project is transforming the experience of the homeless and drawing more men and women off the streets into our recovery program. Our goal is to stabilize men and women in a quality and dignified environment. We are removing the stigma of a shelter and focusing on stabilizing men and women with basic needs, help, therapy, and ministry. Clients then matriculate into interim housing, and finally settling them into permanent supportive housing supported by career services and micro-enterprise opportunities.

"We re-imagining how people experiencing homelessness experience Los Angeles Mission, how we serve the homeless, and bringing dignity and transformation to Skid Row." - Troy Vaughn, CEO

October 20, 2022 - Opening of our Dignity Dorms Phase 1 of the project.
