Project Description
Los Angeles Mission's Dignity by Design Renovation Project is transforming the experience of the homeless and drawing more men and women off the streets into our recovery program. Our goal is to stabilize men and women in a quality and dignified environment. We are removing the stigma of a shelter and focusing on stabilizing men and women with basic needs, help, therapy, and ministry. Clients then matriculate into interim housing, and finally settling them into permanent supportive housing supported by career services and micro-enterprise opportunities.
"We re-imagining how people experiencing homelessness experience Los Angeles Mission, how we serve the homeless, and bringing dignity and transformation to Skid Row." - Troy Vaughn, CEO

Project Description
The proposed renovations for our Skid Row facility will improve access to supportive services for the most vulnerable and marginalized residents of Los Angeles County. We recognize the far-reaching impact of quality residential treatment and supportive housing on sustained recovery. With your support, LA Mission will provide a dignified safe and personal stabilization space for homeless clients engaged in a coordinated care system dedicated to their long-term survival, health, and self-sufficiency.
Courtyard - First impressions matter,
that's why we are restoring our courtyard
with green space and home feel to settle
people in housing, safely off the streets.
4th-floor - will provide restored dignity to
our community and a sense of value as
they work toward holistic restoration -
body, soul, and spirit.
